Camelot
The beachside club Camelot is a great venue for partying in the summer. Based in Santa Pola, the evening often begins with a flavour of Spanish pop music to get the party moving, before the house and techno tunes takeover.
Café del Sol
Over in Denia, Café del Sol might not offer the chance to show off your dance moves to loud grooves but it is a pleasant pub to enjoy a nice cold beer and watch the sun set over the views of Denia harbour.
Things to do in Costa Blanca in June
Mundomar Aquarium
With the summer season brings plenty of fun in the sun in Costa Blanca. For those looking to spend an enjoyable day out, Mundomar aquarium is bound not to disappoint. The popular Benidorm attraction is a great place for a day trip. The main attraction is the cracking Mundomar Dancing with Dolphins show. A selection of dolphins perform ballet skills in perfect unity with a collection of synchronised swimmers. The 40 minute programme is worth the entrance fee on its own. Plus, you get to see a sea-lions performance, visit the many flamingos, swans and now, cheeky meerkats, too.
Terra Mitica
Tourists looking for an adrenaline kick should head to Benidorm's Terra Mitica theme park. Wherever you go, there is plenty of excitement and a host of rides for all ages to have a whale of a time on. Resistance here is futile. Steep drops are guaranteed on the Titde and Synkope rides. Titde is a rollercoaster that can reach peak speeds of 60mph, making it one of the fastest in Europe. The Labyrinth of the Minotaur involves target shooting in five-seater cars, while the Akuatiti water attraction is a safe, but still fascinating ride for kids without the traditional water soakings you'd expect on an adult ride.
Las Hogueras de San Juan
Alicante's biggest festival of the entire year is Las Hogueras de San Juan. It lasts for four days, beginning with a host of firecrackers exploding at La Mascleta, which are bound to make many ears and eyes - go pop. Throughout the week, there are parades across the region, along with medieval markets and bullfights. The festival concludes on the day of St John the Baptist with a huge feast and an extravagant fireworks display.

Another event not to be missed is the Bonfires of San Juan, an event when Alicante is ablaze with hundreds of bonfires.
