Temperature
Daily average temperatures are a very pleasant 21°C at this time of year, though the mercury often rises to 23°C and higher in the afternoons. At night the temperatures barely drop at all, with average low temperatures remaining a very mild 18°C throughout June. Packing layers is a good idea if you're visiting in June. During the day, t-shirts, shorts and swimwear will suffice, but you might want to slip a thin jumper or two into your suitcase for when the sun goes down and the temperatures drop a little. Don't forget your suncream, either, as the sun is very strong at this time of year.

June is officially the dry season in Funchal, with hardly any rainfall throughout the month you can expect around 10mm to fall over an average of 5 days.
